Who We Are

People that Care Center began in 1982 as a community outreach program of Shady Grove Church in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Today, it is a separate, non-profit organization funded by private donations to reach out to the poor and needy in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex as well as providing international food and medical relief worldwide.

WE ARE ABOUT HELPING THE NEEDY locally, nationally and internationally, BOTTOM LINE.

We believe actions speak louder than words. That’s why we encourage you to check out our History tab. We want you to visibly see the tangible ways your money and efforts are making a difference in the lives of thousands of hungry and sick individuals. So go ahead! See your money at work!

Our new and established patrons may see an exponential change in the way we do things. We’re striving to stay ahead of the times and to grow with the world in the most positive way. That’s why we have revamped who we are, what we are about, and what we look like, making us more accessible to our patrons and allowing them to see their money hard at work. Seeing Christ work through the hearts of every person who receives His gifts is an unbelievably believable thing!
